So, just to welcome me home, the Los Angeles area has produced the usual
ring of fire in the area. Looking something like this:
I realized that I don't live all that far from Alta Dena -- around 10 miles (near the
Station Fire at the top left). So the sky has been looking a little interesting and, apart from filling everyone's sinuses with a nice film of smoke, is casting an unreal golden red glow on everything. The sunrise sent bright red streaks across the walls in my room:
Later in morning:
It seems like the most appropriate time for our
favorite mayor to nominate
a new fire chief. Hmm? My question is, what kind of fire chief thinks to retire right when all this crazy shit always happens every year?
