2. The "Electric Daisy Carnival"--kind of like the Warped Tour of raves--was at the Coliseum on Friday and Saturday night. I've never interacted with such gross sweaty bills in my life. Or people carrying around an Elmo doll and dressed as a leopard walking around barefoot.
3. My boyfriend and I have decided to take on the endeavor of painting the interior of our apartment. I have never done this. Nor he. I sense some shenanigans are in store!

ReplyDeletejust make sure you put a base coat before painting the color!
and make sure you get the right kind of paint, there's alkyd and theres latex and if you put one over the other you will die a miserable death of dripping paint and messes forever
ReplyDeletelearned this the hard way, the bumface who lived in this house before us painted the bathroom with alkyd-based paint...the purple latex paint we used fell off the walls sort of, and now looks terrible and there are hours of sanding in our future...
rub some nailpolish remover on a spot on the wall. if the paint breaks down and comes off, it's latex.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice on the painting. We definitely didn't skim on paint. Everything went off without a hitch...except the bathroom. Expect photos.
