My boyfriend's dad loves me. To celebrate my return home he had extra wine with dinner and teased me about my recent roommate experience. "I've heard that gay women sometimes wear special perfumes that act as a code for other lesbians and signify that they're gay and looking for love," he said. "Oh, you mean patchouli?" I returned.

I thought patchouli was how hippies found each other. Well, I guess there are plenty of lesbian hippies, so maybe we're both right.
