The other one is flicking a cigarette

Lately I've been happy to complain about the lowly status level of my job by explaining that I wear a pinstriped button-down with white collar and cuffs, a polyester satin tie that clips in the back and a vest that obscures any breasts that God gave me. I think it's a good way of describing how my life's going right now. Pitifully, I'm mostly happy to even have a job.

Today we were informed we'd have a new guy on crew with us. "He got laid off at his other job. He used to work here, back when he was a grad student, so he knows the ropes. We won't have to teach him too much," my boss said.

I asked him what he has a Master's degree in. ENGINEERING. Driving home, I thought about how at least I don't have a master's degree in engineering while donning the infamous outfit. It really made my day.
